🎓 Calling All Civil Engineering Students! 🚧

The Expanded Shale, Clay, and Slate Institute (ESCSI) is proud to announce the John Ries Scholarship for the 2025–26 academic year!

This $5,000 scholarship is open to undergraduate and graduate students in civil engineering or closely related majors who are enrolled in Fall 2025 and returning for Spring 2026.

💡 If you’re passionate about innovative construction materials and want to explore applications of expanded shale, clay, and slate (ESCS) in your academic or career journey, this is a fantastic opportunity to support your goals.

📅 Deadline to apply: December 1, 2025

📌 What you’ll need to apply:

• Completed application form (electronic signature accepted)
• One-page statement of qualifications and goals
• Unofficial transcript (GPA 2.75+)
• Confidential faculty recommendation letter
