The data presented in this paper are a compilation of test results of several investigations being performed by the Bureau of Reclamation to determine the factors which may influence results of laboratory freeze-thaw testing. Several combinations of freezing and thawing periods including the four tentative ASTM methods were used to test the effect of initial cures, degree of saturation, and specimen size and shape. In addition, the time-temperature relationships established for different locations in an 18-inch cylindrical specimen to simulate the realtive effect on structural concrete are shown for various patterns of freezing and thawing.
