  • Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of fiber addition on the freezing and thawing resistance of lightweight aggregate concrete. Matrix strength, fiber content and fiber dimensions are changed. The following results were obtained. The freezing and thawing resistance of steel fiber reinforced lightweight aggregate concrete can be improved by the increase in the bond force between steel fibers and a matrix, that is, by using slenderer steel fibers (large bond area) and a high strength matrix.
