  • Abstract:

With the improvements being made in heating and air-conditioning equipment for residences, it is of increasing importance that designers and builders have easy access to reliable information on thermal properties of walls. Since the transmission coefficients, formulas and methods recommended in the Heating, Ventilating, Air-Conditioning Guide* are the generally accepted standards used in figuring heat transmission, the material given in this information sheet is taken from the Guide or is based on its recommendations and formulas.
