    Detailed description of pilot work done on clay particles with furnaces for producing lightweight structural clay products. The clay particles are for use as an admixture for the manufacture of lightweight units, such as lightweight brick from clay with LWA and clay. Uses grinding, blunging, filter pressing, extruding and slicing prior to firing in the furnace. Firing was at 1950°F. with preheating of clay to 500°F. Article is like a diary account.
