    This report describes the construction, the testing and lists the results of fire tests conducted on a load-bearing partition consisting of nominal 8 inch wide by 8 inch high by 16 inch long 4-hr. rated hollow lightweight concrete blocks laid vertically on end with adhesive mortar at the horizontal joints and faced with 1/8 inch Gold Bond Kal-Kote Base and a 1/16 inch Gold Bond Kal-Kote Smooth Finish Plaster.The object of this investigation was to establish a fire resistance classification for a wall assembly, erected and constructed of materials conforming in quality and physical properties to those herein described, by means of the fire endurance and fire & hose stream tests conducted in accordance with the Standard for Fire Tests of Building Construction and Materials ASTM E119, (UL 263 and NFPA 251).
    The tests showed the described construction meets the requirements for a four hour rating.
