  • Abstract:

The Reinforced Earth Company introduces its newest retaining wall system–Pyramid Gravity Wall. This new segmental retaining wall system utilizes split-faced Pyramid Facing Blocks that are connected to either one or two standard 8 in. stretcher-type CMUs, depending on the height of the wall, to form a gravity retaining wall. The 8 in. CMUs are attached to facing units on alternating horizontal layers with galvanized steel clips. The result is a system that utilizes easy to install lightweight units, requires no geogrid reinforcements, and is more economical than either larger heavier block units or geogrid reinforced wall systems. The system can be used for walls up to 8 ft. tall. For taller walls, the system can be combined with Pyramid PSE walls that utilize galvanized steel ladder reinforcing strips.
