Because ESCS is manufactured at temperatures above 2,000ºF, the high temperature thermo-structural resistance properties of ESCS are widely used in consumer products that are exposed to repeated fires. One example of these types of products is fireplace logs. Another similar heat resisting applications is in the manufacture of gas-grill briquettes for residential barbeques.
