Estimate is compute program for the analysis, structural design, material quantities and pricing program for reinforced concrete building frames. It has been compiled to aid qualified engineers in ascertaining the cost of reinforced concrete frames. The program complies with the latest edition of the American Concrete Institute Building Code Requirements for Reinforced Concrete (ACI 318-89) and uses the Equivalent Frame Method for the analysis of the structure. This program analyzes designs and prices floor systems, columns, spread footings and caissons. It provides material quantities, partial and total prices of a structural bay based on unit prices input into the program.
The Estimate program is composed of three main programs – floor systems, columns, spread footings and caissons programs. They run together with one common input and only a few screens are required to run these programs. The final results are material quantities and prices of floor systems, columns and caissons.
