  • Abstract:

Internal vibrators were adopted for the compaction tests on light-weight aggregate concrete. Test results showed that segregation would be caused by over vibration. The optimum vibration duration did not appear to be constant and the effective radius of compaction would depend on the vibration amplitude and the diameter of vibrator. Both of them can be evaluated by observing the specimen surface.
